EGGS FROM FREE-ROAMING, PASTURED HENS

Our chickens and roosters enjoy a beautiful and peaceful setting and happily co-exist with our milk cows and other farm animals.  During the day they have free access to pasture and at night they are comfortably housed, safe from predators.  They live off forage, sprouted fodder and yogurt along with supplemental pellets and are given no hormones or unnecessary medication.

First and foremost, we want our chickens  to have the happiest and healthiest life we can provide.

Our chickens are a mixture of hardy breeds that lay very large eggs ranging in color from pink to tan to dark brown. Our breeds include Astralorp, Maran, Welsummer, Wyandotte, Ameraucana and many crosses we hatch on farm.

Long Dream Farm, a California corporation, is registered as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity. We welcome donations which are used to support our education and research activities. These include designing and promoting templates based on animal-human partnership for food production and soil improvement.  We also are raising funds to allow cows currently embedded in the horrors of the commercial dairy industry to transition to a new low-stress environment (and likely raising a calf for the first time) where they can live out their natural life, cared for in a compassionate, outdoor sanctuary environment.  20% of sales under the brand 'Long Dream Farm' go to support the charitable foundation.
